BA (Hons) Commercial Photography alumna, Adama Jalloh, has been nominated for a prestigious award.

A collaboration between Magnum Photos and Photo Present London, the Graduate Photographers Award 2016 is supported by RBB Economics.

The shortlist has been decided by a nomination team of 10 industry experts, all of whom have graduated from a UK degree course relating to photography or lens-based media in the last three years.

The Award looks to provide the graduates with the support, visibility and opportunity to meet distinguished professionals from the photography industry.

The ten winners will be announced on 19 May 2016. They will each win individual mentoring from a Magnum photographer, a portfolio review with the nomination panel and their work will be displayed in a slideshow in the Screening Room at Photo London in Somerset House.

During her final year art AUB, Adama won the BJP Breakthrough Award for her street portrait of a young boy in south London.

Adama graduated in July 2015 and has already had her work featured on the front cover of the Financial Times magazine.

Magnum Photos is a photographic cooperative of great diversity and distinction owned by its photographer members. With powerful individual vision, Magnum photographers chronicle the world and interpret its peoples, events, issues and personalities.
