Inside Life Outside was a third year BA (Hons) Creative Events Management project with the aim of creatively sharing the stories of the homeless, and raising awareness of a serious contemporary issue.
Inside Life Outside consisted of a series of workshops for both Big Issue vendors and residents of the BCHA St Pauls Shelter in Bournemouth.
The workshops were hosted by professional arts facilitators and focused on documenting the stories of what it is like to be homeless.
The artworks and stories produced at these workshops were compiled into a printed publication.
On the 22nd April, Inside Life Outside hosted a publication launch. During this launch the team engaged with the public by giving out copies of the publication and discussing the various issues related to homelessness.
The Inside Life Outside team are currently in the process of securing additional funding towards developing a legacy programme so that art workshops can take place regularly at the BCHA St Pauls Shelter.
