BA (Hons) Photography alumna, Kym Cox, graduated in 2014. Her work focuses on bubbles for art and science.
As well as exhibiting at various Science and Engineering festivals over the past year, Kym’s work was shown alongside Brian Griffin’s ‘Himmelstrasse’ at The Royal Photographic Society’s Magic Gallery earlier 2016.
In 2014, Kym became a Visiting Research Assistant to the Foams and Complex Systems Group, School of Physics, Trinity College Dublin – working with Prof. Stefan Hutzler to produce a catalogue of extreme-macro imagery and video footage of their Ordered Cylindrical Structures research. The collaboration led to an exhibition of her work at Eufoam 2016, Trinity College Dublin. Honorary Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society Brian Griffin, selected Kym’s work to show alongside his Himmelstrasse series at the Magic Gallery, London in August 2016.
Included in the exhibition was Kym’s final body of work from her time at AUB, Grace.
Some of Kym’s work is also included in the Science Photo Library, amongst a number of images which are syndicated to their affiliated agencies around the world.
