TheGallery at Arts University Bournemouth welcomed 50 students on Thursday 18 April from eight different schools, various courses adopted groups of pupils and delivered a number of drawing workshops within their specific subject areas.

A group of second year BA Textiles students were involved in the “Drawing Speaks Schools Day” in response to the Jerwood Drawing Prize 2012.  After getting the pupils to initially produce drawings in the gallery inspired by the Jerwood drawing prize they then moved onto using collage and print techniques in the Textiles studios to create exciting heat transfer printed fabrics.

After the workshop the pupils then had a temporary exhibition of the day’s outcomes in the Origins Café.
