Jacob Sutton, second-year, BA (Hons) Graphic Design student wins a Silver Award at Creative Conscience in the New Technology category for his project, Safe Worker.

Jacob tells us the idea behind SafeWorker came from having a girlfriend who is a social worker. He tells us that she felt, working as a social worker can be exhausting, unpredictable and sometimes scary. Front-line social workers can find themselves in uncomfortable and potentially dangerous situations when visiting homes.

The intention of SafeWorker is to keep social workers connected to colleagues, allowing them to contact colleagues when they feel uncomfortable or in potential danger. This means help can be sent, whether that be a phone call or alerting the emergency services.
