BA (Hon) Commercial Photography students have been commissioned by construction group Morgan Sindall  to document various additions to the AUB campus.

Charlie Goodge, Gemma Thompson, Rebecca Milles, Will Ablett, Erin Sharp and Sam Bentley all worked to capture the projects.

Morgan Sindall said: “We asked for creativity, not just simple record shots, but images that included people, activity and life. We asked for images which could be used in marketing, project profiles and building journals – we wanted to be able to sell the buildings. We also requested pictures which create an all-encompassing record of each building. All of these requests were met by the students, working under the wing of their Course Leader, Conrad Tracy, with lessons learnt by the students including learning to use available light in the middle of winter, and working in ‘live’ spaces.”

To thank the students, Morgan Sindall have sponsored the end of year Photography show. They will be using students again to capture other live work they are undertaking on site at AUB. Several previous commissions have also been undertaken, including recording a local fundraising event and a new beach hut scheme.
Will Ablett said “I particularly enjoyed working within the photography extension as it felt like home.”
Claudine Cross at MS said “Working with the students was a joy – they all put in an immense amount of effort to get the shots right, and it was great to be a part of their final year’s work.”
