Rohan Hande graduated from BA (Hons) Commercial Photography in 2014. He has gone on to work for Condé Nast India and is currently freelancing.
We caught up with him to find out more:
Can you tell us a bit more about the shoot for GQ and Vogue India?
“Both the images for GQ and Vogue are photographed for the respective magazine’s digital platform. Everyone’s gone digital, mostly because of the quicker reach and it’s great to see that magazines are doing ‘Digital Exclusive’ features. Even the aesthetic is different when compared to print.
“As for my work, I like to push it towards mixed media with photography at the centre. Not just with my personal work, but also commercially.”
How did you find your time at AUB?
“I really can’t stress enough on how important AUB has been. I wouldn’t go back in time and change it. Mainly because as an international student, I came across a very different method of teaching, supportive staff and peers alike, and exposure to fresh work aesthetic.”
What are you currently working on?
“I’ve been working on a series of portraits…for a very long time now. It really shouldn’t be taking this long ha ha!! Hopefully I should finish it in the next few months. Unfortunately I can’t say much about them, but what I can say is that they’re mixed media.”
