BA (Hons) Visual Effects Design and Production and BA (Hons) Film Production students spent a day on set filming a re-enactment of the Siege of Corfe Castle.

The project was a VFX graduation assignment, utilising a professional film crew shooting on the Alexa mini camera.

Students filmed the re-enactment at the site of the ruined castle in the Purbeck Village, just a few miles from the Arts University Bournemouth. The re-enactment was performed by professional actors.

The project was a collaboration between BA (Hons) Visual Effects Design and Production and BA (Hons) Film Production students, two courses from AUB’s Bournemouth Film School. The VFX teams will now be challenged with the task of recreating the castle as it was in 1645.
