BA (Hons) Architecture Visiting Tutor, Ben Rowe, is Structural Engineer and Project Director at Ramboll. He has been structural engineering consultant for the course since 2007.
This year he takes up a four-month residency for the British Antarctic Survey, to oversee the engineering challenges of moving the Hugh Broughton designed research station across the ice shelf to a new location.
Ramboll are also technical consultants for the new wharf facilities for the RRS Sir David Attenborough, the new British Antarctic Survey research ship.
Ben will explain his mission and the unique project in a special studio talk, followed by drinks to toast him on his way.
