BA (Hons) Acting Course Leader, Doug Cockle, has been nominated for a British Academy Game Award.

Doug is nominated in the Performer category for his performance as Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which has received seven BAFTA nominations.

He tells us more:

“It is a great pleasure and an honour to be nominated for a BAFTA Games Award for Performer for my work on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. It has been a big project, and isn’t finished yet technically with the second expansion on its way, and it is so nice to be acknowledged in this way.

“I’ve put a lot of myself into Geralt and am really proud of my involvement with this game. But it isn’t just me it acknowledges; it’s also all the people who have been involved in the voice production for Witcher 3: Directors, engineers, writers, even the folks who brought me lemon and honey tea during recording sessions. It is a gong for all of them too!

“We’ll see what happens on April 7th, and it would be amazing to win, but I already feel like I’ve won just being nominated.”

We caught up with Doug upon the release of the game last year. Read more from his interview here.

The British Academy Games Awards ceremony takes place on Thursday 7 April in London.
