The company have worked for clients including Selfridges, Liberty and The Conran Shop, and love to be inspired by fresh ideas and creative thinking to create exciting new products for Christmas events and parties worldwide.
Celebration Crackers set two briefs for the level 4 Textiles students to see what new innovative ideas they could come up with. They were really pleased with the results, and explained:
“The assignment gave us at CCL the opportunity to see how our product ranges could be reimagined and developed by bright students looking at them with fresh eyes. We were very impressed with the results, and with the work ethic of the students. The group generated such a volume of diverse and interesting work in 4 short weeks, and we felt that they really took on the challenge and enjoyed exploring the paths that could be taken in designing products that are out of their comfort zone. We hope that they not only enjoyed the experience but also gained some insight into the practicalities of designing in the ‘real-world’ industry, and liaising with industry professionals.
“Once the group had presented their ideas and final pieces at the end of the 4-week brief, we at CCL deliberated on what we had seen, and decided to offer a two-week placement here with us to further develop the work one of the students had produced. With our help and guidance, we hope they will gather a greater insight into the day-to-day workings of a business within the creative industry, in what will hopefully be a rewarding experience.”
