Charlie Smith London: Friday 23rd February – Saturday 31st March 2018
Two Fine Art Lecturers exhibit at the Charlie Smith London gallery in Shoreditch.
This unique and inspiring exhibition is the first of the year for Charlie Smith London, and is a great opportunity to view Dominic and Sam’s latest work, and that from other key collaborators.
Dominic Shepherd is an Associate Professor teaching on BA and MA Fine Art at AUB. He was also a research fellowship at the AUB in 2008 and in 2004. Represented by Charlie Smith London, he previously won John Moores 23, Visitors Choice Prize and is Co-ordinator of the Black Mirror Network.
Sam Jackson is Fine Art Pathway Leader for Preparation for Higher Education. Sam has previously exhibited work at Charlie Smith London, most recently in an exhibition called Run to Me, alongside work from Photographer Derek Ridgers. Sam has had work featured in FLOORR magazine and Dazed Digital online.
INTENSE EMOTIONAL WORK
Charlie Smith London’s Gallery Director, Zavier Ellis, says of the exhibition:
‘…The artists we exhibit are technical, but this is nowhere near enough in itself. You will find that each one of them makes work with an intense emotional, philosophical or psychological charge, and so their work operates in a challenging, profound way.’
Address: Charlie Smith London, 336 Old Street, London, EC1V 9DR
Gallery Hours: Wednesday – Saturday (11am – 6pm)
