AUB’s BA (Hons) Costume and Performance Design course celebrated their 25th anniversary last week at their London exhibition, Destinations.
The BA (Hons) Costume and Performance Design course was first validated in 1992 at The Arts Institute Bournemouth, as AUB was formerly known at the time. The course has gone from strength to strength; seeing three Course Leaders and thousands of successful graduates pass through its studios, with graduates going on to design and make costumes for theatres and film studios all over the world.
Destinations, held in the Bargehouse, Oxo Tower Wharf, London, exhibited this year’s graduating students final projects. They celebrated with a Private View of the exhibition, speeches, and the cutting of a very special cake in the shape of the AUB logo.
Principal Lecturer and Course Leader, Rebecca Pride, has been running the course for the last 8 years. Speaking about the event she commented:
“It was wonderful to celebrate 25 years of costume and performance design at the Arts University, with all three course leaders, the course team and alumni and graduates from past and present”.
