This term’s Architecture Open Lecture Series focuses on emerging female academics and practitioners creating and making.
The series opens on Friday 30th January with Penelope Haralambidou from the Bartlett talking about her investigations and book concerning Duchamp’s Large Glass and its architectural influences, followed by Elizabeth Ogilvie on 13th February who will present her Arctic project ‘OUT OF ICE’ connecting with the current exhibition in TheGallery. On February 20th, Holly Lewis of We Made That will talk. On March 6th, Iris Papadatou of You and Me and March 13th Catrina Stewart of Office S&M will present their work.
They follow on from a successful series last term, which saw some of the more mature men of Architecutre; Visiting Professor Sir Peter Cook talking about Crab’s new drawing studio for the AUB Campus and external examiner Neil Gillespie talking about his practice’s new Maggie Centre in Lanarkshire, and not quite so mature Seán and Stephen with their Sherlock Holmes installation.
