AUB Foundation Studies alumnus Will Kippax and former Visiting Tutor, Eric Butcher, have been shortlisted for this year’s Jerwood Drawing Prize.

The prestigious Jerwood Drawing Prize is the largest and longest-running annual open exhibition for drawing in the UK, and has exhibited at TheGallery AUB regularly as part of its touring exhibition.

This year 2811 submissions were received, with 69 works selected from 65 artists from across the UK.

Speaking about his work, Handle This, Will said:

“My work exists on a periphery, slipping between the second and third dimensions. It becomes a signifier of human presence or absence, moments abstracted from the everyday.”
