The show tells the story of Jimmy Rabbitte, a young working class music fan, who shapes an unlikely bunch of amateur musicians and friends into an amazing live act, the finest soul band Dublin has ever produced.
Joshua will form part of the male ensemble in the musical and understudy the characters Micha and Billy, having graduated from AUB in 2013 with a First Class Honours degree.
Since graduating, he has played a number of high profile roles with the London Contemporary Theatre, the Duck Egg Theatre Company and the Pavilion Theatre Bournemouth. He has just finished a tour with Kenny Wax LTD.
Josh said: “I’m delighted to be cast in the show. It’s been hard work and lots of auditions but I’m so excited to get started and work with the company, visiting such wonderful theatres. I’m over the moon.”
The show opens in Bromley in October and will be touring in 23 other locations including Nottingham, Sheffield, Oxford, Belfast, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Cardiff.
The show has enjoyed phenomenal success, playing more than 1,000 performances at the Palace Theatre since its opening in 2013.
