The MA Film Practice course is for talented and emerging filmmakers seeking to learn through making, to look beyond the short film, to define themselves as artists within film practice and to gain that vital experience demanded by the industry.

Animation is everywhere: from the classic Disney fairytale, to the quirky Aardman comedy and the dynamic Pixar blockbuster.
Graduates from this course have gone on to design and make costumes for theatres and film studios all over the world.

The University has an international reputation in the film business. Graduates have worked on Oscar-winning productions, BBC documentaries and dramas, and for major studios such as Dreamworks.
Spectacular make-up and dramatic special effects can transform a production. Recent graduates have gone on to work on Coronation Street, Pirates of the Caribbean, PAN, Cinderella and James Bond.
Graduates from the BA (Hons) Modelmaking course are now working in an exciting range of careers – from the precision of Formula One, to the fantasy of Star Wars.
