BA (Hons) Visual Effects Design and Production Course leader Paul Hilton and Senior lecturer Ian Fellows are running a workshop for the BFX Festival called ‘Martial the Art of VFX.’

BFX has been designed to celebrate and promote the visual effects, computer games and animation industry, inspire the next wave of talent and share the latest knowledge

Martial the art of VFX will be held over 8th -9th October and is intended for industry practitioners who want to work on their drawing skills and anyone interested in the VFX process from pre vis to edit.  Martial artists will be performing combat sequences so that participants can develop shorthand skills for drawing at speed, with sessions taking place in the new CRAB Drawing studio

BFX runs from 8th – 16th October and will include:

MPC, Rob Pieke | The Jungle Book

MPC will be presenting a variety of themes based around Disney’s 2016 film ‘The Jungle Book’. Themes include The Jungle Book: Management, Caching and Preview of Many Animals, Jungle Book: the story of the environments pipeline and MPC’s propriety Thalia Deformation Framework.

Fabric Software Inc, Paul Doyle

Paul Doyle will be presenting how Fabric Engine is the go to development framework for many of the world’s best studios.
