Staff and students present at the HEA annual conference at the University of Manchester.

BA (Hons) Graphic Design tutors Dr. Kirsten Hardie and Gabrielle Hass, and students Will Broomfield and Chris Kyte presented at the conference held on the 4th July. Alumni students Nicole Dujardin and Sophie Walker from BA (Hons) Interior Architecture and Design also contributed, exploring the importance of student engagement through partnership of students and staff working collaboratively.

The presentation discussed a case study on  ‘Be my Valentine’s’ exhibition and ‘Be my Partner’ AUB projects which examined students and staff working in partnership with the Priest’s House Museum and Garden in Wimborne, Dorset. The presentation considered the creative cross discipline work of undergraduates and staff from four distinct and different specialist courses working in partnership.

The 2016/2017  Valentine’s live project created opportunities for students and staff from BA (Hons) Graphic Design, BA (Hons) Costume and Performance Design, BA (Hons) Creative Events Management and BA (Hons) Interior Architecture and Design to work in partnership to create a vibrant exhibition and supporting events and activities for and the Priest’s House museum.
