BA (Hons) Film Production grad film Bleach won awards in three categories at the national Royal Television Awards held in London earlier this month.

The film follows the story of Jay; an isolated and lost character, leaving home in search of her estranged father and notorious local debt collector, Shane. In an attempt to grow closer to and reconnect with her father Jay enters the local boxing gym scene.

Third year student Jesse Lewis-Reece, Writer and Director of the production said:

“One of the key factors in joining the BA Film Production course for me was some of the amazing graduation films that had come before me. I was so inspired and can’t quite believe the success we have had, it makes me very grateful to everyone involved in the making of the film. I hope this recognition can help everyone in their forward moving journey into the industry and I hope the film itself can help inspire future students with their own graduation films, just as I was inspired by the students before me.

I hope to continue working with the amazing team that I met here at AUB for many more years to come.”

The production won awards in the following categories: Best Drama, Best Cinematographer and Judges Special Award for Best Overall Film.
