The R.A.W Project
The R.A.W Project celebrated the existing creative scene in Bournemouth and left behind a cultural legacy.
The focal point of this event was the unveiling of a 190 metre squared mural, delivered by renowned local artist Miroslav Lucan (Lucan Art). The piece will endure for 10 years and, it is hoped, will become a cultural landmark for Bournemouth.
Alongside the unveiling of the mural, the event included creative drop-in workshops, a multimedia art exhibition, a silent auction, live music and guest talks offering advice to aspiring creatives who are on the threshold of entering working life. The students worked with local organisations South West Artwork and Flux Framing to ensure high quality production values throughout the project. Having collaborated with Virgin Media and Kev Munday to create two public art pieces in the centre of town, the finale was a fantastic and memorable way to showcase the entirety of this innovative project.
