Fine Art Graduate in Residence, Sian Hutchings, has been interviewed for a feature in ATTN:Magazine.

ATTN:Magazine is an online platform started by founder and editor, Jack Chuter.

“ATTN:Magazine is an exploration of new experimental music and sound art, founded on a love for the failures and contradictions in articulating the experience of listening.” (Jack Chuter).

The magazine features interviews with sound artists, experimental musicians and composers alike. Along with reviews and performance news of all the great sound events across the UK.

Sian said: “I have recently started up a sound group within the university, in which we discuss each other’s work within a sound art practice. I found out about ATTN through an event at The Winchester.

“The event was a screening of a documentary on the experimental musician Tony Conrad along with live performances of experimental sound artists from Bournemouth. Along with the other members of the sound group, I attended the event and were thoroughly impressed.

“I met Jack on the night and after a chat about our work and the sound group he asked if he could interview me for a feature.”

“ATTN: Presents the second night at The Winchester, a night of sonic reduction on the 10th January.”
