The Diploma in Art & Design – Foundation Studies Programme is delighted to have achieved the ‘Outstanding’ rating in its 2018 Ofsted inspection.
AUB achieved the ‘Outstanding’ rating for Overall Effectiveness and in all four criteria; effectiveness of leadership and management, quality of teaching, learning and assessment, personal development, behaviour and welfare and outcomes for learners.
Preeti Sood, Printmaking Technician Demonstrator, was selected by the editor of Cello Press to be featured as the the artist of the month of Volume 26 No. 3 Printmaking Today magazine.

We caught up with almunus, Alan Glasspool, to hear about his career journey since graduating from AUB in 2003
Head of School Preparation for Higher Education, Tim Edgar, recently had a chapter published in the first book collaboration between Hoxton Mini Press and Penguin, Really Good Dog Photography.
This book approached the dog as a dignified, intelligent and noble being, and considers our relationship with man’s best friend for the extraordinary thing it really is.
Priti Sharma joined AUB on the Foundation course in 2007 and shares her journey with us since graduating.
AUB Foundation Studies alumnus Will Kippax and former Visiting Tutor Eric Butcher, have been shortlisted for this year’s Jerwood Drawing Prize.
Dr. Christian Edwardes, Pathway Leader for Fine Art, Preparation for HE, is exhibiting a collection of his work at Outpost Gallery in Portland alongside artist Louise Atkinson.
The exhibition, named Souvenirs: Migratory Objects, is part of Dorset’s artist led, mulitimedia festival B-Side’s HQ; Outpost. The Gallery space allows artists to experiment and respond to their surroundings, often working with the local communities as a source of inspiration and research.
Mitch Payne studied FdA Commercial Photography at AUB, and has since gone on to create work for brands internationally renowned brands.
He talks about working on campaigns for the likes of Nike and Grey Goose.
The exhibition showcases and celebrates the diverse creative practices of students, bringing together 300 works en masse.
