Though it has only been a year since graduating, Sarah is already making an impact in the art and design industries. A Freelance Graphic Design and Collage Artist, she recently had work published in her first book, ‘Mix & Match’. We caught up with Sarah to find out more about her career and projects, and how she benefited from her time at AUB.

Andrea Rizzotto, BA (Hons) Graphic Design student
Andrea is in the final year of the BA (Hons) Graphic Design course. In 2017, he won Gold in the ‘Product & Structural Design’ category at the Creative Conscience Awards for his Smart Diabetes Case. The Awards recognises innovative design projects undertaken by students and graduates.
Jacob Sutton, BA (Hons) Graphic Design student
Jacob Sutton is in the third year of the BA (Hons) Graphic Design course. At the 2017 Creative Conscience Awards, he won Silver in the ‘New Technology’ category for his project, Safe Worker. The Creative Conscious Awards recognises innovative design projects produced by students and graduates.
Eilidh Smith, BA (Hons) Graphic Design student
Eilidh is currently in the final year of her BA (Hons) Graphic Design degree. In 2017, she won Gold in the ‘Film and Photography’ category at the Creative Conscience Awards for her film, Leaving Your Mark. The Creative Conscience Awards recognises innovative design projects by students and graduates.
In February, second-year Graphic Design students enjoyed the opportunity to meet and mingle with industry professionals in a dedicated networking event.

Page Jones, Charlotte Ellis, and BA (Hons) Animation Production student, Ash Gin–Sing, created an innovative social campaign for Cuddledry, marketing a new parent and baby washbag, with the objective of bringing the product to the attention of new parents.
The Design Council’s new research recognises the imperative value the design industry makes to the economy, highlighting the skills design occupations will require in the future.
AUB recently attended the launch of the Design Council’s new research report ‘Designing a Future Economy’. The report identifies that “design skills are vital to UK productivity, but that businesses face a growing skills gap“, demonstrating the need for specialist art and design education. It is the first time that the contribution of design skills to the UK economy has been measured so thoroughly.
