Students from the BA (Hons) Make-up for Media and Performance course were recently treated to a visit from professional make-up brand, TILT.
Established in 2013, TILT create high quality professional makeup for use in cinema, television and theatre. The London based brand also offer make-up classes, workshops and makeovers.
Last week, AUB’s community of staff, students and academics joined together in celebration of the inaugural AUBRIETA Teaching Awards.

The AUBSU Thank You Awards were presented by Students’ Union President, Beth Rubery, and Vice President, Ezra Evans. These annual awards allow students to recognise the hard work of staff.
In January 2018, 2nd year students from BA (Hons) Costume and Performance Design, BA (Hons) Acting and BA (Hons) Creative Events Management all took part in a 10-hour residency exploring Outdoor Performance in the Landscape.
Led by Lorna Rees, Artistic Director of Goobledegook Theatre, and Heidi Steller, scenographer and print maker, the project encouraged student collaboration and their engagement with the landscape around them.

BA (Hons) Creative Events Management students recently paid a visit to AUB’s on-site Museum of Design in Plastic (MoDiP), as part of their first year Culture and Society unit.
Located within the AUB Library, MoDiP is a specialist research resource and the only accredited museum in the UK with a focus on plastics.
Following on from last year’s success, the 6th March 2018 saw the AUB Human Symposium return with Innovative Futures.
The inspiring event comprised of workshops and keynote talks from a range of award-winning industry speakers and AUB students, accompanied by a pop-up cinema made from straw bales.
Architecture students and staff were treated to not one but two inspiring lectures by Honorary Fellow, Professor Sir Peter Cook.
An esteemed architect, lecturer, and influential writer, Professor Sir Peter Cook’s career began right here as a student in Bournemouth, where the picturesque Dorset coastline and enriching Landsdowne Library facilitated his creativity.
