Tom Hovey studied BA (Hons) Illustration at AUB, graduating in 2006. Since graduating, Tom worked in London for a while, before landing the biggest gig of his life, illustrating one of the UK’s most popular television shows – The Great British Bake Off.
Tom now lives and works in Bristol. We visited his studio to catch up with him and find out just how he shaped his unique career as a food illustrator.
Andy Ryan studied BA (Hons) Photography at AUB, graduating in 2013. Since graduating, Andy quickly found his style as a sports photographer, landing his dream job as Official Olympic Photographer for Team GB. Andy has photographed a variety of events, most notably Team GB at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and Winter Olympics in South Korea earlier this year.

Dorset-born filmmaker, Edgar Wright, best known for his critically acclaimed films Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, and his most recent Box Office hit, Baby Driver, returned to Arts University Bournemouth to share anecdotes about his college days.
Wright was born in Poole and grew up in Swanage and Somerset. He speaks fondly of his childhood days, telling students “some of the earliest stuff I made has an escapist element to it, because I grew up in Dorset and Somerset“. He studied a National Diploma in Audio-Visual Design at AUB (Bournemouth and Poole College as it was then) between 1992-1994, before going on to make his first feature film, A Fistful of Fingers, shortly after in 1995.
