Sam Jackson’s paintings are not always what they seem. His work appears to be portraits, but they are in fact “paintings that invoke portraiture combined with a hint of the readymade. They are paintings that start life as depictions of portraits – or memories of portraits.”

The Diploma in Art & Design – Foundation Studies Programme is delighted to have achieved the ‘Outstanding’ rating in its 2018 Ofsted inspection.
AUB achieved the ‘Outstanding’ rating for Overall Effectiveness and in all four criteria; effectiveness of leadership and management, quality of teaching, learning and assessment, personal development, behaviour and welfare and outcomes for learners.
