1st year BA (Hons) Costume and Performance Design students worked to put on a live performance in full costume, set in post-war Britain to celebrate the work of the WI.
The campus become a riot of music and colour as 1st years performed a flash mob style dance whenever an air raid siren went off.

Students and staff from BA (Hons) Costume and Performance Design and BA (Hons) Make-up for Media and Performance have collaborated to produce a short film that showcases almost one hundred costumes, spanning three centuries.
BA (Hons) Costume with Performance Design Alumnus and now Cirque Bijou’s costume designer Sarah Dicks is working with David Wood, current Costume student to create a costume using reclaimed materials for the opening of Bristol European Green Capital.
Cirque Bijou and Arts University Bournemouth have a successful history of working together. In 2012 they won award for the costumes created for the opening celebrations of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Sailing Events in Weymouth and Portland.

Battle for the Winds
Battle for the Winds is a large-scale event marking the opening celebrations of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Sailing events in Weymouth.
The Moving Tides Procession 2012 welcomes the arrival of the Olympic Torch to Weymouth on the 12th July from 5pm.
This procession showcases a collection of magnificent and colourful costumes created by children and young people from Weymouth and Portland working with together with costume design students from the AUB. The 2012 theme is ‘Oceans Of The World’. And the parade will see aqueous angelfish, Jurassic creatures, dancing yellow seagulls swaying to the beat of the drums.
