Athens Animfest takes eight
Athens Animfest, the oldest Greek animation festival, takes place from Thursday the 14th of March until Sunday the 17th of March 2019, in Athens, Greece, with more than 340 animated short films from Greece and other 49 countries.

The second edition of the Yaoundé African Animation Film Festival – better known as CANIMAF – has selected The Legends of Jenny Haniver for screening in the ‘Short Movie Animation’ category.
CANIMAF is the first and only event of its kind in Cameroon and Central Africa, and the theme for its 2nd edition is ‘Professionalism’. The ambition is to offer festival-goers not only quality screenings, but also activities related to training and discovery and providing young film makers with the opportunity to meet with industry professionals.
Whispering Onion has been selected for the finalist competition at Seoul International Food Film Festival. It will screen as part of the ‘Tasty Short Film Competition’ will be competing for the Best Short Film Award, Jury Award and Audience Award. The finalist films will be judged during the festival and the winners will be awarded at the closing ceremony.
Early Bird International Student Film Festival has selected Wolf’s Lullaby and Whispering Onion for the Animation section.
It’s another outing for out 2018 graduate animation Anna. The stop motion animation was one among 1000 entries for this year’s Manchester Animation Festival and was chosen to be part of the ‘Student Film Panorama’ programme.
Manchester Animation Festival is the UK’s largest Animation Festival dedicated celebration of the animated art form and takes place from 13-15 Nov at HOME in Manchester. It features animated short competitions, feature films, retrospective screenings, workshops, networking events, panel discussions, masterclasses and screen talks from the industry’s finest over the course of three packed days.
Thessaloniki Animation Festival (TAF) has selected nine AUB graduate animation for screening, spanning three years.
