Jonathan Turner studied BA Film and Animation Production and is now a Visiting Tutor for Bournemouth Film School (BFS). He also helped create the ongoing link between BFS and Framestore, the on-campus international visual effects company. Jon works as a compositor, working on some amazing titles including The Martian, Guardians of the Galaxy, Everest and Gravity.
We caught up with him to see what he’s been up to:
Natalie Young graduated from BA (Hons) Animation Production at Bournemouth Film School (BFS) in 2011. Upon graduating, Natalie began working with visual effects company, Framestore and has worked on Gravity, Lincoln and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, to name a few. Natalie has recently finished working on upcoming superhero film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice set to hit cinemas later this year.
Currently working for Double Negative as a Matchmove Artist, we caught up with her to see what projects she’s been working on. Here’s what she said:
Colin White graduated from Bournemouth Film School (BFS) in 1973. He’s worked on live action/animated fantasy film Who Framed Roger Rabbit as Character Animator back in1988 as well as Director of Animation for Plague Dogs and working as an Animator on Watership Down, both based on novels by Richard Adams.
We caught up with Colin, to find out more about his life in the film industry.
Simon Beaufoy graduated from Bournemouth Film School (BFS) in 1992. He won an Oscar for Best Screenplay for Slumdog Millionaire, and received nominations for The Full Monty and 127 Hours. In 2009 he collected the award for Screenwriter of the Year at the London Film Critic’s Circle Awards.
Years later Simon turned British Comedy The Full Monty into a play. We recently caught up with him to see what he’s got up to since leaving BFS:
We caught up with BA (Hons) Animation Production Alumnus, Andrew Grisdale to find out what he’s been up to since graduating in 1997. Since he left Bournemouth Film School (BFS) he’s been asked by Pixar to work on some award winning and well known titles like Toy Story 3 and Cars 2.
Andrew is currently working as a Layout Artist for Pixar Animation Studios, based in California. Here’s what he said:
Luke Whitelock graduated from BA (Hons) Film and Animation at Bournemouth Film School (BFS) in 2004. He’s currently an Assistant Art Director, working on Dr. Strange, a Marvel film starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Rachel McAdams.
Luke has also worked on Thor, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers 2: Age of Ultron and the live action Beauty and the Beast – to name a few. We spoke to Luke about his time at BFS:
