Jenny Hanniver goes to CANIMAF

The second edition of the Yaoundé African Animation Film Festival – better known as CANIMAF – has selected The Legends of Jenny Haniver for screening in the ‘Short Movie Animation’ category.

CANIMAF is the first and only event of its kind in Cameroon and Central Africa, and the theme for its 2nd edition is ‘Professionalism’. The ambition is to offer festival-goers not only quality screenings, but also activities related to training and discovery and providing young film makers with the opportunity to meet with industry professionals.

Whispering Onion competes at Seoul International Food Film Festival

Whispering Onion has been selected for the finalist competition at Seoul International Food Film Festival. It will screen as part of the ‘Tasty Short Film Competition’ will be competing for the Best Short Film Award, Jury Award and Audience Award. The finalist films will be judged during the festival and the winners will be awarded at the closing ceremony.

It’s another outing for out 2018 graduate animation Anna. The stop motion animation was one among 1000 entries for this year’s Manchester Animation Festival and was chosen to be part of the ‘Student Film Panorama’ programme.

Manchester Animation Festival is the UK’s largest Animation Festival dedicated celebration of the animated art form and takes place from 13-15 Nov at HOME in Manchester. It features animated short competitions, feature films, retrospective screenings, workshops, networking events, panel discussions, masterclasses and screen talks from the industry’s finest over the course of three packed days.

Anna screens in competition at LIAF

Stopmotion production Anna has been selected to be screened in competition in the British Showcase at the London International Animation Festival (LIAF 2018), the UK’s largest international animation festival. Anna was selected out of more than 2,600 films viewed by the LIAF programmers.

Liv screens at Encounters short film festival

Liv has been selected to screen in competition as part of the 24th edition of Encounters Festival, the UK’s leading short film festival, showcasing the best in international short film, animation, and virtual reality.

As part of the festival Liv will be eligible for the Encounters Grand Prix Award with a prize of €2,500 and may also be eligible for other awards dependent on genre and geographical location.
