“Right now, I’m focusing on Costume Design, and maybe a little bit of Fashion. I already came here with the idea that I wanted to study Costume Design, but also came with an open mind. Maybe I’d end up trying something else I hadn’t taken into consideration.

“I really enjoyed the movie making, it was really fun. I wouldn’t say that it was enough to change my ideas of what I want to study in the future, but it was fun to do. Screen printing was really fun too. I like to paint and do art, and that was a technique that I’ve always wanted to try.

Isobel Stenhouse – 2005 Alumni

“Back in 2006 I was one of the fortunate AUB grads who started their careers on Sylvain Chomet’s The Illusionist. After a year in live-action props, I couldn’t resist the chance to work on a 2D feature, initially as a layout artist and then as an animation assistant within a talented international team.

“This led to a move to Paris for more exciting projects, such as the pilots of Longway North and Red Turtle, a supervisory role in the Philippines, and one apartment move too many! So I headed back to London in 2013 and the jobs have steadily rolled in.  It seems that software such as TVPaint has helped rejuvenate the 2D industry.

Ashley Boddy – 2007 Alumni

Ashley Boddy graduated from BA (Hons) Animation Production in 2007 and was accepted into the Aardman Animations story department as an intern.

He first worked as a story artist on the award winning TV series ‘Shaun the Sheep’ before going on to the feature film story crew, working on the Oscar nominated feature animation ‘Pirates in and Adventure with Scientists’. Following his work on Pirates he then worked on the Oscar and BAFTA nominated ‘Shaun the Sheep: the Movie’.
