More Than Just A Sport

More Than Just a Sport is a documentary project looking at women and specifically gender boundaries in sport. Shot on 35mm film and over a period of time – the project gets an inside look into a sport so often overlooked. Taking inspiration from a number of photographers who deal with sport and separately; gender – it takes a deeper look into the sport than what is on the surface to many.

Berlin Pictoplasma festival

These images are part of a collaborative project which is currently in the means of production with 4 other course mates. The project arose after the five of us attended the Pictoplasma festival in Berlin this May. The convention consisted of a compact schedule of animation screenings, talks and workshops. We were so inspired by this experience we decided to create an animation narrating our trip with the intention of submitting it for next year’s festival.

Stop Motion Costume

When I first arrived at AUB, nearly four years ago, I was required to attend a five-day introduction as an international student. This occurrence was for all internationals to get acquainted with the University, Bournemouth, British culture, and to meet other students to help prevent the feeling of isolation and being alone on the first day of our courses. I did not want to do it, and the introvert in me wasn’t so keen on all the icebreaker games. However, I met my best friend during those five days and made a number of connections. One of those connections happened to message me a while back enquiring if I could offer some costume assistance on her animation.
