From the simplest ‘Don’t be late’ (Rob Sanders, 1989) to words from our own Vice Chancellor and Principal: “Make sure you make something. Most of all, make a difference.”
We asked our alumni for their One Piece of Advice for current students and commissioned BA (Hons) Illustration alumni, Natasha Durley, Marianna Madriz and Robin Mackenzie to bring the quotes to life. You can take a look at what they said below…
About the artists
Natasha Durley was named a Best of Year winner in the 2012 D&AD Student Awards. Alongside her Illustration practice, Natasha is a visiting tutor at AUB, running workshops and evening classes.
Marianna Madriz is a freelance illustrator, currently based in the UK, originally from Venezuela. Her work is inspired by comics, 50s illustrations, Latin American culture and Bossa Nova music
Robin Mackenzie is a contemporary illustrator and printmaker specialising in wood engravings and lino-cuts. He graduated from Arts University Bournemouth in 2013 and has since been creating prints for books, magazines and a wide variety of exhibitions and shows.
