Imogen Charleston, Moon Studio Ceramics
12th September 2018
The first ceramic workshop in AUB’s Meet the Maker series: Moon Studio Ceramics founder, Imogen Charleston, invites you to come and discover the translucent properties of porcelain. In this taster workshop you will find out about the work of a Dorset ceramic artist, explore porcelain to create ceramic work and try your hand at making your own porcelain tea light/small vessel.
The class focuses on slab technique and surface design and we will be using paper flax porcelain clay. Once made these can be decorated with underglaze paints. The pieces will be fired once to 1260 Celsius and they will be ready to collect in about 4 weeks.
Supported by European Structural Investment Funding, this free event (normally £55 per person) is open to Dorset business professionals within the creative, digital, manufacturing or engineering sectors of industry.
