Student Jobs

Many students work part time to help fund their studies whilst at AUB.

If you are considering applying for a job you should remember that you will need to maintain a balance between work and study – the careers service can give you advice on this.

This section contains links to a selection of selected vacancies, which usually stay online for four weeks. Please note that the AUB Careers Service Facebook page contains more part-time vacancies suitable for AUB Students.

National minimum wage

The National Minimum Wage is the minimum pay per hour almost all workers are entitled to.

The National Living Wage is higher than the National Minimum Wage – workers get it if they’re over 25. The rates change every April.

The current rates are as follows:

  • 25 and over – £7.50
  • 21 to 24 year olds – £7.05
  • 18 to 20 year olds – £5.60
  • 16 to 17 year olds – £4.05

Higher and further education students on a work placement up to 1 year, and people on the following European Union programmes: Leonardo da Vinci, Youth in Action, Erasmus, Comenius aren’t entitled to the National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage.
