Master of Architecture
Master of Architecture - Arts University Bournemouth offers students an exciting and unique opportunity to study on a highly creative postgraduate architecture course. Although students will be embarking on a professional MArch which shares with other QAA Architecture Final Awards in the UK criteria set down by the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), here at AUB they will be engaging with a very special context, and with a distinctive approach to architectural education. MA Arts Management Practice*
New for October 2014
This course is aimed at students with an understanding of arts management, who wish to extend their study and those from a creative production background, who wish to develop skills in production management. It is also suitable for those wishing to get an understanding of different types and styles of management practice and the implications that they have on creative production. This MA seeks to draw together the realities of creative production and practice and the best of management thinking and theory. It will look at a strategic skillsets – e.g. creative vision, finance, leadership and marketing and the historic, social and political contexts that artists and organisations operate in. This will include production contexts such as indoor, outdoor, commissioned and educational work. Students will be encouraged to work with an agreed host partner arts organisation which may be of their choosing or drawn from the University’s well established networks. The MA seeks to examine and identify good management practice. It will enable students and the creative organisations they study sustain and develop their productive capacity through innovative thinking and leading industry practice.
