Graduation Ceremony 2013
Our annual Graduation Ceremonies will be held on Friday 28th June 2013 at Wimborne Minster in Dorset, followed by a reception on campus with refreshments and live entertainment.
Tickets
On-line booking for ticket sales will commence on 25th February 2013. A message will be sent to your student email address with instructions on how to register and purchase tickets for yourself and guests. Tickets will be released closer to the ceremonies. You will be able to collect them from the Graduation office. The Graduation Office is located on the ground floor of University House (next to Registry) and will be open daily from 12 noon to 2pm from 8th April onwards. Ceremonies and tickets
Ceremonies will be held throughout the day in Wimborne Minster. Guest entry is strictly by ticket only. Some guest seats may have poor sightlines and guests are encouraged to arrive early as seating is unreserved. Guests with disabilities or access requirements are urged to contact the Graduation Office well in advance of the ceremonies.

Receptions
All are welcome to join us on campus after the ceremonies for a reception with refreshments and live entertainment. Entry to campus is free. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase champagne and other soft drinks from our bar. Students must return to campus after the ceremonies in order to return their hired gowns.
Academic Dress
Students are required to wear Academic Dress for the occasion. This can be hired from our supplier Ede and Ravenscroft via their website (please see ‘relevant links’). Gowns must be ordered in advance of the ceremonies. Please note that savings will be made if you book online, rather than over the telephone. The deadline for gown booking and payment is 24th May 2013.
Photography
Our official photographers, Ede and Ravenscroft, will be present on the day to take photographs. You will be able to pre-order a photography package via their website or purchase on the day (please see ‘relevant links’). Please note that savings can be made by pre-ordering.
Commemorative DVD
All students will be issued with a complementary DVD of their ceremony. This will be sent to your home address with your degree certificate.
Live Webcast
The ceremonies will be streamed live over the internet. A link to the webcast will be placed on our homepage on Graduation day.
Tickets: Graduating Students
The cost of a student ticket is £10.00 which includes entry to Wimborne Minster and also a glass of champagne and portion of strawberries and cream at the AUB reception after the ceremony.
Tickets: Guests
The cost of an adult guest ticket is £25.00 which includes entry to Wimborne Minster and also a glass of champagne and portion of strawberries and cream at the AUB reception after the ceremony.
Optional tickets:
Picnic Lunch Ticket
Students and guests are invited to purchase a Picnic Lunch with wine for £12.50 to be served at the AUB after the ceremonies.
Coach Ticket
We will organise coaches throughout the day in between AUB and Wimborne. Times are printed in the Graduation Information Booklet. A return ticket is £3.00.
Queries
The AUB is not able to assist students with the costs associated with attending Graduation Ceremonies. However, students who have general financial issues or are in financial hardship should contact Student Services for advice.
