The University is situated between Bournemouth and Poole in Dorset on the South Coast of England. Dorset is a county of outstanding natural beauty, providing a unique location for creative work. It boasts miles of sandy beaches, the rolling Purbeck Hills, Poole Harbour and opportunity for a wealth of water sports. Bournemouth has a large cosmopolitan student population and one of the most vibrant club scenes outside London.
London is less than two hours away and is easily reached by regular train and coach services or via good motorway links. Bournemouth and Southampton both have international airports providing good value flights to more than 50 destinations. Bournemouth airport is currently undergoing a £45 million redevelopment programme which will include the installation of Cat III navigation and lighting aids, a new international arrivals hall, plus improved check in, security and departure hall facilities. The redevelopment will be phased over the next couple of years. There are also regular sea crossings to the Continent from Poole and Southampton.
